"Lies Can't Hide the Truth"

Please don`t go.

My eyes swelled up with tears as the thought of her leaving appeared in my mind.

Please, please look at me.

I could hear her desperately trying to get me to speak, to say anything.

I can't . . . I just can't. Everything I say is like hearing rain fall, but looking up it's just wind blowing water off the trees.

She walked toward the door, grabbing her things in her path.

I guarded the door with my life. My body shaking, tears falling.

I hugged her, as tight as I could.

"Please . . ." That's all I could muster. If I completed my sentence, I knew she would leave.

"I don't want you to stay with me." I said through sobs.

"I never loved you."

I held her tighter. Then I broke.

"Please, I . . . can live without you. You darken my world, you`re the most vile person to ever enter my existence.”

My voice shaking, my face a mess and my actions clear. Still holding her tight in my arms.

I love you, I love you so much. I`m trying to make you understand.

She pulled back, staring at me.

“Okay.” was all she spoke.

This week’s writing concept is:

"Your character can only speak in lies, but desperately needs to tell someone the truth."

Have fun with it, and come up with your own concept for this piece. I look forward to reading what you come up with. And don’t forget to tag us on Instagram when you're done.

Happy writing 😊❤️
