Hello and welcome! I'm Diane Black, the person behind the words you'll find here. Writing has been my escape and joy since I was 12. It started as nothing groundbreaking, just a kid with a pen, scribbling away. Despite the ordinariness of it all, I kept at it, loving every moment I got to put words on a page.

Life, as it tends to do, swept me into a whirlwind of responsibilities. I joined the military, ventured into the beautiful journey of motherhood, said "I do" to the love of my life, and cracked open the textbooks once more. Yes, it's a bit cliché, perhaps—the writer pausing her passion to play the roles life has handed her. And like many before me, my writing took a backseat during these bustling times.

Recently, however, I've rediscovered my old flame: writing. This simple act of expressing myself has reignited a joy in me that I thought I'd lost. It's like greeting an old friend you haven't seen in years but can still talk to about anything and everything. I didn't quite know what to do with this rejuvenated passion, so here we are—I started this blog as a canvas for my words, a playground for my creativity.
